Combinations, Permutations and Speaker Stands

I’ve got a GCSE in design; I’ve got A-levels in sciences and mathmatics; I’ve got a degree in engineering; I’ve got a kind of postgraduate qualification no ones ever heard of; so why does it take me two hours to assemble two speaker stands? Were the instructions not clear? Well once you’d put it together yes but till then a few more diagrams would have helped. Claiming it was a one person job when one bit really needed three hands didn’t help. The screws just too big for the little plastic wall grip things they go into. My electric screw driver it turns out does not screw when held so the driver part pointed vertically upwards. Worst of all parts that appear to have only one way to go together have several.

Still they are done now and I can confirm O’Toole’s Commentary on Murphy’s Law is true – "Murphy was an Optimis".

An optimist! Hahaha!
Assemble-it-yourself instructions are written by a sadistic lot - glad you got there in the end!
