I’d found the hump in Fairytale Noir. That awkward bit in the middle of the story where I can’t make my mind up if it is worth finishing or not. Words haven’t been spilling onto the page. I sat down tonight intending to spend half an hour trying to do something with it then do something else. Well that was four hours ago and I’ve cracked the 10,000 word mark. Added a scene earlier that I’d not intended to and moved past the hump by sending the lead round visiting an array of hopefully intriguing characters. Next time I pick the story up I should be able to get back into the action. If I could write like this every night I’d churn out novels in no time.
