Tonight I have mostly been playing with the Facebook developers environment. I’d say more but it would bore most of the world to tears and the others probably already know more about it than I do.

Now the Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook 2008 is out copies of the 2007 edition are showing up in cheap book shops. So if you’re a writer or artist and you want to read the articles but you don’t mind the addresses listed being a bit out of date it’s worth a look.

There was a letter through my front door this morning addressed to Mr Pizza Lover. Junk mail from Domino’s Pizza (a national chain of pizza shops) announcing their new outlet near here. The leaflet says Save Over £176.37 (the 37p is a nice touch although I’d say rounding it to £176 isn’t going to make […]

The Departed v Infernal Affairs

Friday, September 14th, 2007

I watched The Departed on DVD for the first time last night, Martin Scorsese take on the Hong Kong thriller Infernal Affairs. Both have their good points and bad points. On balance I’d say I prefer the plot of Infernal Affairs and Tony Leung Chiu Wai’s Chan Wing Yan (as Tony Leung) is more interesting […]

More impworks Twiddles and Updates

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

Following on from last nights fiddling round with my impworks site I’ve been playing around with the site code some more and I’ve added a new page to the Words section for Astonishing Adventures Magazine. I’m not 100% happy with the layout of the page yet so I guess I’ll be playing round with the […]

impworks Twiddle and Updates

Monday, September 10th, 2007

I’ve made a few updates to the impworks web site tonight. Mostly little tweaks to the html for links. One to hopefully reduce the number of spam link submissions for the Vue links directory by setting the rel attribute to nofollow for many (but not all) of the links. I’ve also added titles to most […]

Is it Sunday Night Already?

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

Well of the things I ment to do today only the dull cleaning jobs seem to have happened due to a combination of Civ IV Warlords being on sale at Virgin, a good book and a mild cold I just don’t seem to be able to get rid of.
