The BBC showed the first The Omid Djalili Show tonight. The stand up was excellent. The sketches were maybe a little long although they could play around the subject rather than going for a single quick punchline. Omid seemed a bit awkward in the sketches but that may be not such a bad thing. Heston Blumenthal has the same quality sometimes, especially when he’s a guest on a live show like The One Show or Friday Night with Johnathan Ross and I like both of them more for it. It makes them more human in this day of polished celebrities.
