Sunday, November 9th, 2008

I’ve checked my Vue python script Cloud Builder in Vue 7 Infinite. No problems detected so just a small update to the Readme file to note the test.

Centre Finder 0.2

Sunday, November 9th, 2008

I’ve just updated and tested my Vue python script Centre Finder for Vue 7 Infinite. No significant changes just a little tweak so the cube it creates is name "Centre". The zip file on the Centre Finder page has been updated and I’ll update the web page itself later.

My first Vue 7 Render

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

A quick (around 12 minute) render using Vue 7 Infinite. One of the new infinite procedural terrains with the desert preset and a slightly tweaked god ray atmosphere (I made the sky a bit more red and a little less blue). User defined render settings.

Leaning on a (Virtual) Lamppost

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

For anyone waiting for Vue 7. To be performed in the style of George Formby or for those of us who take our ukulele seriously The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. I’m leaning on a lamp, maybe you think, I look a tramp, Or you may think I’m hanging ’round to steal a modo-car. But […]

Comment Spamming for the Novice

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Here is a public service announcement tip for comment spammers spending their time posting to people blogs with meaningless comments. Posting to blogger (and any other system that adds a no follow to links) is really just a waste of your time. You won’t get any page rank from the blog you spam. Even on […]

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

I was tinkering with an animation script for Vue when I discovered something I thought I’d share to save others scratching their heads… I was using SetCurrentFrame() to set the key frame for the animation. I was later returning to an earlier key frame to apply a tweak to the same objects animation. The current […]

Refactoring the Restroom

Monday, July 21st, 2008

After spending a few hours refactoring python code on an ongoing (not yet ready for release) Vue python script I’m reminded of a cartoon that used to be on the wall of the Guild of Students projection room. Under a picture of Charlie Brown was the line "Working here is like wetting yourself in dark […]

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

Finally got to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I’m not going to over analyse the plot because its the same basic follow the MacGuffin of the previous three films. Its fun, its action packed and I got to play the game of trying to spot where they used Vue and […]
