Vue Replicate Scale Equal Steps Script

This Python script for Vue Infinite can be run to equalise (or equalize for all my American readers) the scaling of replicated objects. First you replicate an object in the usual way in Vue (Using Edit -> Replicate) and then you run this script. If you applied a scale to any of the dimensions it will alter the way they are scaled. Vue’s normal scaling for replicate is to scale each object by applying the scale factor to the previous object created. This script sets the scaling to be uniform from one object to the next. This allows stepped pyramids and other similar structures to be quickly created.

I’ve tested in Vue 6 Infinte but it should work in Vue 5 Infinite, Vue 6 xStream and Vue 5 xStream too.

I was planning on releasing this script yesterday but had a small problem getting it to work which delays my lighting tutorial series restart by another week. Hopefully I’ll start again with the first four light rig next Monday.

My pleasure. Glad it helped you do what you wanted :-)

Brilliant! Just like it says on the box, this script will create duplicated objects that are scaled according to the orignal size of the object, not the previous instance. So, you can easily make perfect stepped pyramids (for example) in no time at all! Thanx!
