Super Injunction and Libel Woman

Friday, April 29th, 2011

A Vue 9.5 Infinite, CityEngine and SkinVue 9 Experiment Every time I hear someone talking about the latest Super Injunction I can’t help but think it sounds like one of the lesser known super hero comics.  Someone who comic fans love but the rest of us will only discover when they get a movie. No […]

Or 11 Games every gamer should play before they fail their saving throw vs. death This post was inspired by the post on Dane of War’s blog now on Geekcentricity. In alphabetical order are eleven games that I think are really worth your time and money. These are all games that I have played on […]

New Dr Who episode The Impossible Astronaut

Monday, April 25th, 2011

The first, new episode of the 2011 run of Dr Who The Impossible Astronaut is a joy. If you’re going to do a Doctor Who in America why not go for it. Using the vast scale of the wide open spaces and light gives grandeur to the scene that chalk pits never could. Later the […]

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

One of the most popular pages here is Cloud Layer Sculpting in Vue and with all the new Vue 9.5 cloud features I thought I would be a good idea to blow the dust of it and rework it to use the new features. Here is the original for comparison… Update: I’ve been busy and […]

Thursday, April 14th, 2011

Sunday, April 10th, 2011

Ursa Carrien is the first release from Nightfall Games of a pure PDF product. At 98p it’s an eight page bargain for anyone who plays SLA Industries RPG. The Ursa Carrien are a new addition to the monstrous inhabitants of Cannibal Sector Two and the opening illustration by Dave Allsop is a stunning piece of […]

Source Code Film Review

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

Source Code is a very specific kind of Science Fiction that toys with a single concept like a cat toying with it’s pray. That concept becomes what that the whole story is built around. It’s the nature this kind of Science Fiction that it is often more about a piece of technology or a plot […]

Rebuilt Site

Monday, April 4th, 2011

Just finished an under the hood (no visible changes on the surface yet) rebuild of impworks. The big bonus being this site is now clean of a couple of years of junk messing around and I have a separate development site I can mess up to my hearts content.
